In a bid to boost its anemic ratings, talk station KGIL-AM (1260) is picking up two pieces of programming that previously were heard on its more popular rivals KFI-AM (640) and KABC-AM (790).

Beginning June 8, former KFI host John Ziegler will join KGIL’s weekday lineup, as will the syndicated commentaries of Bill O’Reilly that have been running on KABC.

Ziegler, who was heard on KFI from 2004 through 2007, produced the documentaries “Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted” and “Blocking the Path to 9/11.” He’ll air weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with KGIL shaving an hour off the Glenn Beck and Monica Crowley programs on either side of him to make room.

O’Reilly’s “Talking Points” commentaries will air weekdays at 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., the station said.
