No. 9 Ohio State takes advantage of Wisconsin mistakes in 31-13 win

at No. 9 Ohio State 31, Wisconsin 13 -- Kurt Coleman and Jermale Hines returned interceptions for touchdowns and Ray Small brought a kickoff back 96 yards to lead the Buckeyes (5-1 overall, 3-0 in Big Ten Conference play). The Badgers fell to 5-1, 2-1.

at No. 12 Iowa 30, Michigan 28 -- Ricky Stanzi threw for 284 yards and two touchdowns for the Hawkeyes (6-0, 2-0), who are off to their best start since 1985. The Wolverines (4-2, 0-2) had a season-worst five turnovers.

at No. 14 Penn State 52, Eastern Illinois 3 -- Daryll Clark threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, and the Nittany Lions (5-1) cruised. The Panthers are 4-2.

Michigan State 24, at Illinois 14 -- Keith Nichol threw for 179 yards in his first start to lead the Spartans (3-3, 2-1). The Fighting Illini fell to 1-4, 0-3.

at Northwestern 16, Miami (Ohio) 6 -- Quarterback Mike Kafka ran for two touchdowns and the Wildcats (4-2) kept the RedHawks (0-6) winless.

at Minnesota 35, Purdue 20 -- Kevin Whaley rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown for the Golden Gophers (4-2, 2-1). Joey Elliott threw for 299 yards and two touchdowns for Purdue (1-5, 0-2).
