No. 9 Miami 27, at Central Florida 7: Jacory Harris completed 20 of 26 passes for 293 yards and a touchdown, Javarris James rushed for another score on the way to topping the 2,000-yard mark for his career, and the Hurricanes (5-1) matched their best start since 2005. Central Florida is 3-3 and is now 0-20 against teams in the Associated Press top 25 since moving to Division I-A in 1996.

at Clemson 38, Wake Forest 3: C.J. Spiller ran for two touchdowns and the Tigers (3-3, 2-2) put aside two weeks of turmoil to rout the Demon Deacons (4-3, 2-2). During the Tigers’ open week, an anonymous blog report detailed a shouting match at practice between Coach Dabo Swinney and offensive coordinator Billy Napier.

at Boston College 52, North Carolina State 20: Running back Montel Harris set a school records of 264 yards rushing and five touchdowns as the Eagles (5-2, 3-2) rolled over the Wolfpack (3-4, 0-3) and improved to 5-0 at home. The Wolfpack was giving up only 63 yards a game on the ground, but Harris wiped that out with a 70-yard burst out of the wildcat formation on the Eagles’ second series.
