Re “Flu clinic draws 1,800,” Oct. 22, and “Vaccine still scarce as swine flu surges,” Oct. 23

While I am happy that 1,800 people were able to receive seasonal flu shots at the South Central Family Health Center for free, I would like to know why I have been unable to obtain a flu shot for my two children in the Conejo or San Fernando valleys, either at their pediatrician’s office or the local pharmacy.

In the last weeks, I have driven around fruitlessly to local pharmacies or called my pediatrician repeatedly, only to be told that “we are out” and “we don’t know when to expect the next shipment.”
