Activision Blizzard Inc., the world’s largest video-game publisher, said it would delay the release of the Blur racing game until 2010 and reaffirmed its sales and earnings forecast for this year.

Blur’s release is being delayed because developers are still working on the game, Santa Monica-based Activision said.

Activision reiterated its 2009 sales projection of $4.5 billion and earnings per share of 26 cents. Shares of Activision rose 50 cents, or 4%, to $12.29.
