Update:
Six Ducks are not on this two-game trip, two because of injury: Lubomir Visnovsky (broken hand) and Ryan Getzlaf (ankle sprain). Visnovsky broke his hand during the third period against the Kings in Tuesday night’s loss, which eliminated the Ducks from the playoffs. Scott Niedermayer, Teemu Selanne, Saku Koivu and Todd Marchant are simply getting time off and will be back in the lineup for the Ducks’ final game Sunday. “They have played a lot of games, including the Olympics for three of them, and we are giving them a break,” Ducks spokesman Alex Gilchrist said. “We also want to see our young kids play these two games.” Goaltender Jonas Hiller is with the team and might play Thursday night. Though neither team is in the playoffs, an Anaheim victory would assure Dallas of a last-place finish in the Pacific Division.
