‘Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth’ has good game

Been waiting a long time to talk about: “Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth”

Why? Because the Phoenix Wright series is only the best DS game ever. And because while I will miss yelling “Objection” as Phoenix, I’m looking forward to turning up my nose as haughty prosecutor Miles. Friends, count this nerd down and out for at least a week while I get my litigation on. (Tuesday)

We’ll all talk about: The Top 24 “American Idol” finalists

Teenage “American Idol” contestants ordinarily make us queasy. (Has anyone recovered from watching Sanjaya Malakar dally his way through the Kinks’ “You Really Got Me”? Or hearing David Archuleta attempt an aria from “Phantom of the Opera”? That was actually wrong on several levels. . . .) But during her audition, 16-year-old Katie Stevens elicited chills, not with her sob story, but with her elegant take on “At Last.” (Wednesday)

It’s that time of year to talk about: “134th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show”

The next best thing to the Puppy Bowl and the best reason to watch the USA Network. (Monday and Tuesday)

Will we have anything to talk about when: Victoria Beckham guest hosts “The View”?

Maybe. She was rather mute on “Idol,” but that doesn’t mean we won’t tune in. If she can scold Simon Cowell, who knows what she might do to Elisabeth Hasselbeck? (Wednesday)

Or you could just talk about: “The Ricky Gervais Show”

It’s a sure thing. And we’ll take any extension on the life of Gervais’ series of podcasts we can get. Thanks now to HBO’s Friday-night upgrade, instead of listening to Gervais and Stephen Merchant rip on hapless producer Karl for the umpteenth time, we can watch them do it as cartoons. Animated Karl Pilkington! (Friday)
