Olympic speedskating: An item in the notes in Monday’s Vancouver Olympics section said the speedskating competition was delayed because a Zamboni had broken, spilling water onto the oval. The ice resurfacing machine was not a Zamboni but an Olympia manufactured by Resurfice Corp. of Canada.

Texas primary: An article in Tuesday’s Section A about the Texas gubernatorial primary said the election is March 3. The primary is March 2.

Hebrew-language charter school: A Feb. 5 article in LATExtra about a proposal to establish a Hebrew-language charter school in the Santa Clarita Valley stated that supporters would appeal to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to win approval for the school after the governing board of the William S. Hart Union High School District deadlocked over the initial petition. The Board of Supervisors does not hear such appeals. The school’s leaders will appeal to the Los Angeles County Board of Education.

Golf course thefts: A caption accompanying an article in Tuesday’s LATExtra about two employees fired for taking funds from a golf course operated by the Veterans Affairs Medical Center failed to identify the man standing in front of the Quonset hut that serves as the course clubhouse. He is Bob Chebi, superintendent of the Brentwood course.

Haitian rum: A Feb. 9 article in Section A about Barbancourt rum said that white rum is made from the molasses byproduct of sugar production. It should have said that the vast majority of white rums are made that way.

Ferrari 458 Italia: The statistics box that accompanied a review of the 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia in Business on Friday listed its time to accelerate from zero to 60 mph as “> 3.4 seconds,” indicating greater than 3.4 seconds. As the review noted, the time is less than 3.4 seconds.
