REDCAT International Children’s Film Festival It’s easy to think that children’s fare begins and ends with Pixar, but the REDCAT International Children’s Film Festival, now in its fifth year, throws open the doors to treasures from all over the world in more than a dozen programs, including highlights from Cinemagic, Belfast and a Nickelodeon Family Fun Day. Ed Templeton Iconoclastic multimedia artist and pro skateboarder Ed Templeton will open a new photo show called “The Seconds Pass,” which features all the photographs that he’s taken from moving cars over the last 15 years. Mark Grotjahn’s There’s an opening reception for artist Mark Grotjahn’sexhibit “Seven Faces” at Blum & Poe. This is the Pasadena-born artist’s fifth solo show at the gallery, and it includes 12 new paintings from his “face series,” a series of abstract studies on cardboard and linen using layers of oil paint.
