‘Meatballs,’ Kanye West, ‘Ugly Betty’ and more

If you haven’t said his name in a while, consider talking about: Kanye West.

His mouth may have a foot in it occasionally, but it can also unleash lyrics that turn from self-deprecating to, well, boastful. After nearly a year, Kanye West’s VH1 “Storytellers” hits stores as a deluxe CD/DVD combo. Originally taped in February, the set is mostly performances from his last album, the emotionally driven, Auto-Tune-laced “808s and Heartbreak.” (Tuesday)

Out of touch with your kids? Talk about “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.”

The children’s book-turned-animated film about a scientist who tries to solve world hunger only to see things go awry as food falls from the sky in abundance comes out on DVD. The flick features the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris and Neil Patrick Harris. Meatballs not included. (Tuesday)

Don’t forget to talk about: “Ugly Betty’s” new time slot.

Guess ABC realized TGIF is so 1993. Our favorite fashionably challenged assistant, er, features editor, isn’t staying home on Friday nights anymore. “Ugly Betty” returns from its holiday hiatus and is moving to Wednesday nights at 10. (Wednesday)

You should talk about “Nip/Tuck” before it’s too late.

Cosmetic docs Sean McNamara and Christian Troy return for the seventh -- and final -- season of the risqué FX drama. And, if seasons past have taught us anything, the show’s final nine episodes will give viewers a sexually charged look at all things surgical. Guest stars for the final season include Melanie Griffith, Joan Rivers and Mario Lopez, among others. (Wednesday)

Not in the mood to see “Avatar” with your significant other for the third time? Talk about “Leap Year.”

Amy Adams (“Enchanted,” “Julie and Julia”) stars in the romantic comedy about a girl who proposes to her boyfriend on Feb. 29 -- according to Irish legend, a man must accept if proposed to on leap day. Wonder if 2012 will see a spike in men-fashioned engagement rings. (Friday)
