Summer Darling The first act to release a physical full-length on the in-house label of beloved Echo Park hipster Origami Vinyl, the band earns its comparisons to the fringier elements of Neil Young and such thoughtful ‘90s punk as Fugazi and Shudder to Think. The band holds down the July residency at Spaceland, this time with fellow Origami vets and expert brood-rockers Twilight Sleep. Spaceland, 1717 Silver Lake Blvd., L.A. 8 p.m. Free. https://www.clubspaceland.com.

Bizzart After the annual dose of patriotic explosions dies down, you could give your fair ears a rest or you could give them more to work with by taking them to Pehrspace, where future-rockers Bizzart and Skrapez will be bending sounds and ideas into veritable loops. Bizzart is the brainchild of Arthur Arellanes, who samples heavily to create his dense, layered cake of hip-hop-inspired ruckus. The Skrapez crew is involved in a project it calls Psychopop — we recommend its dark and stormy song “Funeral Parade.” Maybe you can play it at the next family wake? Pehrspace, 325 Glendale Blvd. 9 p.m. (213) 483-7347.

Mississippi Man The atmospheric blues and folk-infused five-piece from behind the orange curtain kicks off its July residency at the Echo. With influences that range from the Beatles to Jack Kerouac, the band celebrates the release of its new album, “A-OK,” supported by Rumspringa and Jeffertiti’s Nile. The Echo, 1822 Sunset Blvd., Echo Park. 8:30 p.m. Free. (213) 413-8200. https://www.attheecho.com.
