Jared Diamond and John Long Two accomplished scientists and authors will engage in an open-ended discussion for the Hammer Conversations series. Diamond is a professor of geography at UCLA and the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Guns, Germs, and Steel,” and Long is a paleontologist and the vice president of research and collections at the Natural History Museum.
