Teacher seniority and layoffs: The headline on an article in the Oct. 7 Section A about an agreement that could result in sweeping changes to teacher seniority protections in the Los Angeles Unified School District erred in stating that the teachers union may sue to block the proposed policies from taking effect. As the article noted, United Teachers Los Angeles is weighing court action to block such changes, but the union says it may pursue legal remedies other than a lawsuit.

“It’s a Wonderful Afterlife”: A review of the movie “It’s a Wonderful Afterlife” in the Oct. 8 Calendar section said the picture was unrated. The film carries an MPAA rating of PG-13 for drug content and comic violent images.

“Too Sexy”: An article in the Oct. 3 Image section about recent controversies over women deemed too attractive for their surroundings said that Azteca TV reporter Ines Sainz is a former Miss Spain. A different Ines Sainz was Miss Spain Universe in 1997.

Sharon Allen: An interview with Deloitte Chairman Sharon Allen in the Oct. 10 Business section described her as a former Midwesterner. In fact, as the article noted elsewhere, she is a native of the West, having grown up in Idaho.
