Ventura Harvest Festival Homemade handicrafts and time-honored tradition take center stage when Ventura’s Seaside Park hosts Harvest Festival, the “original art and craft show.” Visitors are welcome to attend the entire weekend-long festival for one price, meaning three full days of Americana-heavy dining, shopping and entertainment — including the music of the Scott Land Marionettes and HyJinx — for one single-digit price tag. Ventura County Fairgrounds (Seaside Park), 10 W. Harbor Road, Ventura. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sun. $9. https://www.harvestfestival.com.

Circus Vargas In the Cirque du Soleil era, the circus has come to be postmodern performance art of avant-garde costuming and budget-busting stagecraft. Circus Vargas has a bit of that but instead focuses on more classic pleasures under the big top: witty clowning, daring acrobatics and, above all, a sense of fun and accessible spectacle. Westfield Topanga, Victory and Topanga Canyon boulevards, Canoga Park. Times vary. Saturday-Nov. 1. https://www.circusvargas.org.
