Two by Dario Argento Featuring Music by Goblin Reviled, wildly influential, groundbreaking and genre-defining, the Italian horrormonger’s oeuvre continues to make waves and keep his legion of fans poring over every gory detail. Here’s a chance to see two of his most legendary films on the big screen: “Suspiria” (1977), which many consider to be Argento’s most notorious, and “Deep Red” (1975). Earth, Wind & Fire Four decades into a celebrated career, the R&B group is still going strong. FYF Fest The preeminent all-ages event in L.A. music returns with arguably its best lineup yet. Brody Condon The Hammer’s current artist in residence coordinates a live-action, role-playing performance piece, based on the intensive self-actualization seminars that proliferated in the 1970s like so many bright, yellow smiley faces. “Level5” brings together 50 players, who will occupy their respective personas (or “alibis”) for the duration of the two-day event. Fiesta Hermosa The arts and crafts fair, held every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend, returns to its sunny seaside home with more than 270 artists on display and a new eco-friendly makeover.
