Taiwan’s Yani Tseng won the Northwest Arkansas Championship at Rogers on Sunday for her third LPGA Tour victory of the year, shooting a six-under-par 65 to rally past second-round leader Michelle Wie.

Tseng birdied four of five holes early on the back nine, then held on for a one-stroke victory over Wie with a birdie on No. 18. Tseng finished at 13-under 200.

Wie (69) gave up the lead on the back nine — the same half of the course she played in seven-under 28 during a scintillating stretch Saturday.

Mika Miyazato (64) was third at 10 under at Pinnacle Country Club.

Tseng has five LPGA Tour victories in her career, including three majors. She won the Kraft Nabisco Championship and Women’s British Open this year.

Juli Inkster, who at 50 was trying to become the oldest player to win on the tour, entered the day tied for second but shot 72 and finished seven shots back.

The 51-year-old left-hander finished at 12-under 204 at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea to earn $456,000, the largest purse on tour. He won the 1991 Western Open for his lone PGA Tour title.

Cochran, who shot a final-round 66 to force the playoff, tapped in for the win after hitting a bunker shot just short of the hole.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department says Washington, who played tailback for the Tigers before he was suspended from the team, was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of third-degree domestic assault, a misdemeanor. Washington posted $1,000 bond.

A message was left seeking comment from Washington’s lawyer, Bogdon Susan.

The 21-year-old Washington was charged in August with sexually assaulting a former tutor. He was permanently suspended from the Missouri team about a week before those formal charges were filed.
