Remembering 9/11: A photo caption in the Sept. 11 Section A said that Bradley Burlingame, who was participating in a ceremony with L.A. police and firefighters to honor the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, was the brother of a pilot who was on the first plane to hit the World Trade Center. Burlingame’s brother, Charles, was on the plane that crashed into the Pentagon.

Relay swimmers: An article in the Sept. 18 LATExtra section about a group of Ventura County swimmers who are attempting to set an open-water distance relay record said that one of the swimmers did a flip-turn off a piling at Santa Barbara’s Stearns Wharf. The swimmer, Dr. John Chung, swam past the wharf and turned in open water. Touching the piling — the group’s original plan — was rejected by the international body that governs long-distance swimming.

“Mike & Molly”: In the Sept. 19 Calendar section, an article previewing the new series of the fall television season identified Chuck Lorre as the creator of the CBS comedy “Mike & Molly.” Lorre is an executive producer; Mark Roberts is the show’s creator.

Drone planes: Captions for two photographs that accompanied an article in the Sept. 12 Section A about the growing demand for unmanned aircraft used outdated names for the locations of two air bases. The former George Air Force Base is now called Southern California Logistics Airport. The former March Air Force Base is now March Air Reserve Base.

“Walking With Dinosaurs”: An article in the Sept. 9 Calendar section about the touring arena show “Walking With Dinosaurs” misspelled the first name of puppeteer Kari Klein as Kara.

Downtown clubs: The Night Life article in the Sept. 17 Calendar section about downtown clubs gave the wrong first name for the co-manager of Exchange LA. He is Roman Sanchez, not Roger.

Jonathan Togo: In the Sept. 18 Home section, an article profiling actor Jonathan Togo misspelled the first name of boxer Muhammad Ali as Mohammed.

Jobs report: An article in the Sept. 18 Section A on the latest California jobless report identified Sung Won Sohn as a professor at UC Channel Islands. It is Cal State Channel Islands.
