Fittingly, the Angels’ three-year reign as American League West Division champions will end in Texas, where a new king will be crowned. But the Angels didn’t wait for this season to end before starting to work on the next one, holding their annual organization meetings during the team’s final homestand. And after missing the postseason for the first time since 2006, expect the Angels’ lengthy winter to-do list to include finding a leadoff hitter — a search that will probably center on free-agent outfielder Carl Crawford.
