The National Finals Rodeo is coming to Las Vegas in December, and the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is offering a package that could be called “rodeo lite.” The deal starts at $55 a night and includes a room plus free admission to the hotel’s Hollywood Theatre, which will show real-time feeds of the rodeo action.

The deal: The NFR at MGM Grand offer features big-screen coverage of the rodeo championships Dec. 2-11. (The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Assn. championships take place nearby at the Thomas & Mack Center at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where tickets start at $47 a person.) The package also includes a two-for-one buffet, two free admissions to Studio 54 or Tabu Ultra Lounge, two free cocktails plus rodeo-related perks like autograph sessions with Trevor Brazile and other top cowboys.

When: The offer is good from Nov. 21 to Dec. 18 (the live feeds show runs Dec. 2-11 only) but you must book by Dec. 11.

Tested: I checked online and found the package for a West Wing as well as a Grand Tower room at $55 a night Dec. 7 and 8. The special rate doesn’t include tax or a nightly resort fee of $11.20. As a comparison, the regular rate for the same room on the same nights cost $55 a night (excluding tax and resort fee), but you don’t get any of the free extras.
