The D Las Vegas
Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel has undergone a $15-million revamp (and some dropped extra letters) to become the D. Completed in September, the top-to-bottom makeover includes a contemporary look for its 638 rooms and suites and two-floor casino, a novelty even by Vegas standards. The first floor is all modern, complete with the D’s dancing dealers, while the second floor is a nod to vintage Vegas with old-school slots. New drinking and dining options include the aptly named Longbar, the longest bar in Nevada, which stretches the length of the casino, and the interactive comedy show “Marriage Can Be Murder,” where diners solve crimes of passion during a three-course meal.
