Business by LA Times Studios presents the 30 largest general contractors ranked by Southern California revenue for 2024. Firms that perform health care, education and infrastructure work are among the largest in the region.
Swinerton Builders, which operates local offices in Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Ana, leads the list with $1.3 billion in Southern California revenue last year. Tutor Perini Corp. ranks second on the list due to ongoing construction of major infrastructure projects.
These largest general contractors generated $12.9 billion overall in Southern California revenue last year. They employ more than 8,000 people across 61 local offices.
