The awe-inspiring Smith Center for the Performing Arts located downtown offers free public walking tours about its architecture, art and history. The magnificent building designed by architect David M. Schwarz features art deco elements inspired by nearby Hoover Dam. Among the large-scale custom commissioned art pieces, viewers discover Tim Bavington’s colorful “Fanfare for the Common Man” in the two-acre outdoor Symphony Park and Benjamin Victor’s 16-foot-tall bronze “Genius In Flight” inside the Grand Lobby. Other discoveries include Reynolds Hall, Cabaret Jazz, the Troesh Studio Theater, Carillon Tower, and two exclusive lounges.
