Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival returns to downtown Las Vegas for third year

Share

Las Vegas has become known for its many music festivals in recent years, though it can easily be argued that no other is quite like the Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival.

Returning to downtown Las Vegas Sept. 25 to 27, the annual event is the only festival in the United States that not only focuses on music, but also has its own culinary series, art program and prestigious speaker series. Held across 15 city blocks, the inaugural two-day event in 2013 attracted more than 60,000 attendees before expanding to a three-day festival the following year and attracting more than 90,000 guests.

This year’s event is expected to be bigger and better than ever, with more than 70 established and emerging artists scheduled to perform, including Stevie Wonder, Kendrick Lamar, Duran Duran and Imagine Dragons. Additionally, an entire electronic music area will be curated by Insomniac Events, organizers of the Electric Daisy Carnival, which will take over one of the four stages on the festival grounds. Artists in Insomniac’s dance music lineup include Cash- mere Cat, Wave Racer and 4B.

Also new for 2015 is an immersive Art Motel exhibition, featuring works by local and regional artists and creators in downtown Las Vegas’ vacant Town Lodge Motel. The unique experience will be curated by John Doffing, who created the “Painted Rooms” exhibitions at the Hotel des Arts in San Francisco. Doffing joins returning Life is Beautiful curator Charlotte Dutoit of Justkids, who will once again curate the festival’s street art program.

Tickets to Life is Beautiful are $255 for a three-day general admission pass, with VIP and platinum passes also available.
