The Strip’s many marquees are more star-studded than ever thanks to the addition of A-list music acts. On March 1, the best-selling boy band of all time, Backstreet Boys, kicked off their first-ever Las Vegas residency inside the Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Showcasing the group’s greatest hits, “Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life” runs select Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 9 p.m.

On April 5, Ricky Martin will begin his exclusive residency inside Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. Performing select nights at 8 p.m., the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer isn’t the only Grammy Award winner to perform multiple dates at the venue, as both Bruno Mars and Cher have also signed on for extended engagements. Mars is next scheduled to perform on March 11 and 12 at 9 p.m., while Cher will bring her all-new show, Classic Cher, back to Park Theater’s stage Wednesday, Friday and Saturday May 3 through 20 at 8 p.m.

A couple of big-name comedians are doing extended Las Vegas engagements as well. Comedy-ventriloquist Jeff Dunham will bring his Perfectly Unbalanced show to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for 15 performances beginning March 8 at 7:30 p.m. Following the March date, Dunham will return for 14 consecutive weeks June 16 to Sept. 13, with one show each week.

Additionally, “Last Comic Standing” star Ralphie May recently premiered Ralphie May: No Apologies at Harrah’s Las Vegas. The hilarious show — curated specifically for Las Vegas — runs select dates Thursday through Saturday at 10 p.m. and is one of two new productions at the property, as Tenors of Rock also opened there earlier this year. Running Wednesday through Sunday at 8 p.m., the production features five burly “X Factor UK” contestants performing some of rock’s iconic hits like never before.

One of Hollywood’s hottest franchises will soon have a show in Sin City, too, as Magic Mike Live Las Vegas kicks off preview performances at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on March 30. Conceived and co-directed by Channing Tatum, the 360-degree striptease spectacular will run Wednesday through Sunday at 7:30 and 10 p.m.

With so many new shows to choose from, Las Vegas isn’t in danger of losing its Entertainment Capital of the World moniker anytime soon!
