Long Beach Motorcycle Show: Triumph enters touring market

Share

English motorcycle manufacturer Triumph took the occasion of the just-opening Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach to introduce the motorycling world to its first true touring machine -- the 2013 Trophy SE.

Recognizing the upscale, soft-saddle cruiser market as one of the few areas of real strength and growth in the U.S. motorcycle market, Triumph is eager to join Harley Davidson, Honda, Yamaha and other companies that have enjoyed great success with the heavy wide-ride machines.

The Trophy SE is a 1,215-cc, three-cylinder, six-speed, shaft-driven model. It comes equipped with distance-friendly features like cruise control, ABS braking, traction control and built-in luggage.
