Korn/Ferry International announced that Carlos Garcia has joined its Los Angeles office as a senior client partner. City National Bank announced Scott Aney has joined the company as senior vice president and regional manager. Nederlander Concerts announced the hiring of Lesley Olenik as the director of talent for the Grove of Anaheim. The Los Angeles office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP named two lawyers partners. LogicalApps announced that Jim Zierick has joined the company as chief executive officer.

Korn/Ferry International announced that Carlos Garcia has joined its Los Angeles office as a senior client partner. Garcia will focus on senior-level searches across a broad range of operational areas, including sales, marketing, distribution, manufacturing, product development, procurement and technology for clients in diverse sectors, including consumer packaged goods, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, building products and automotive. He joins Korn/Ferry from the executive search firm Morgan Samuels Company, where he was a Principal and led the Operations Practice.

City National Bank announced Scott Aney has joined the company as senior vice president and regional manager for the company’s San Fernando Valley and Ventura County commercial banking services unit. Based at City National’s San Fernando Valley Regional Center in Sherman Oaks, Aney will oversee a team of financial services professionals in the coordinated delivery of the bank’s commercial banking, private banking and wealth management services to clients in northern Los Angeles County and Ventura County. He will report to Dallas Haun, executive vice president and manager of California Commercial and Private Banking Services.

Nederlander Concerts announced the hiring of Lesley Olenik as the director of talent for the Grove of Anaheim. Olenik will book and promote events for the Grove of Anaheim, a 1,700-seat capacity facility, which hosts over 250 events annually. For the past several years, Olenik has been booking and promoting shows in Southern California for Viejas Entertainment based in San Diego.

The Los Angeles office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP named two lawyers partners, who are among 16 new partners firmwide. Donald S. Field is a member of the firm’s public finance group and has extensive experience, as both bond counsel and disclosure counsel, in the areas of general obligation bonds, tax increment redevelopment financings, Mello-Roos bonds, revenue transactions and lease/certificate of participation financings. Christopher S. Ruhland is a member of the firm’s litigation group and focuses his practice on litigation and intellectual property. Ruhland has represented major entertainment companies such as Disney, ESPN, Fox, Sony, and MGM, as well as companies in the financial, technology, transportation, and health care sectors.

Irvine-based LogicalApps, a provider of embedded governance software for enterprise applications, announced that Jim Zierick has joined the company as chief executive officer. A former executive vice president of worldwide field operations for Peregrine Systems, Zierick will assume stewardship of the company as it expands its governance, risk and compliance (GRC) portfolio and leading position in the Oracle market to other ERP platforms, according to a LogicalApps statement.
