Soccer sportscaster Andrés Cantor lists Wilshire Corridor condo for sale
Sports broadcaster Andrés Cantor, whose signature “goooooal” call has been World Cup fixture for more than two decades, has listed a condominium in the Wilshire Corridor area for sale at $3.149 million.
Found on the 16th floor of the Wilshire House, the two-bedroom unit was recently renovated and features an open floor plan with oak wood floors, custom lighting and a terrace balcony. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows take in the cityscape and surrounding areas.
A living/dining room with a wall fireplace, a den/office, a Scavolini Italian-design kitchen and three contemporary-style bathrooms are within the 2,440 square feet of living space. The master suite boasts a large walk-in closet.
Among the building’s amenities is a swimming pool with a sundeck, valet parking, concierge services and a fitness center.
The unit last sold in 2010 for $1.475 million, public records show.
Mazda Hoghoughi of Elite Properties Realty is the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
Cantor, 52, has ties to Southern California, having graduated from the University of Southern California and, before that, San Marino High School.
A three-time Emmy winner, the Spanish-language broadcaster began his career providing play-by-play for Univision before joining Telemundo in 2012. His new multi-year contract with NBC Universal will allow him to serve as a lead broadcaster through 2022.
