Former Lakers player and coach Byron Scott has put a townhome in Playa Vista on the market for $990,000.
Built in 2006 as part of an 86-unit complex, the multi-level residence features high ceilings, ceramic tile floors and private balconies extending from the upper stories. The 1,560 square feet of interior includes two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room with a gas fireplace and an eat-in kitchen.
Two covered parking spaces are included with the unit. A sports court, a swimming pool and 24-hour security are among community amenities.
Scott, 57, played the majority of his 14-season NBA career with the Lakers and won three championships with the team during the Showtime era.
Scott was the NBA’s Coach of the Year in 2008 while with the New Orleans Hornets. He served as head coach of the Lakers from 2014 to 2016.
Scott bought the property in 2012 for $480,000, public records show. In the last month, based on nine sales, the median sales price for the area was $960,000, down 40.9% compared with last year, according to Redfin.
