But truly capturing our attention was a time-capsule home that still embraces the ‘60s vibe created by its former owners, who combined forces to create a formidable rock-soul duo.

Amenity heavy in Pac Pal
Maybe this is one loss he can afford. Clippers center DeAndre Jordan sold his home in Pacific Palisades for $11.75 million — about $1 million less than he paid for it a year ago.
The Cape Cod-inspired mansion, built in 2014, has 10,500 square feet of living space, including a home theater with 130-inch screen, an indoor exercise pool, an elevator, a gym, seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. There’s even a “secret room” accessed by a thumbprint entry system.
Outdoors, multicolored LED lighting provides a party ambiance for a tiered patio, a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen. Waterfalls crisscross over the swimming pool and spa, and a basketball half-court occupies a back corner of the roughly half-acre lot.
Jordan, now in his ninth season with the Clippers, is a two-time All-NBA and All-Defensive Team selection. The 28-year-old is in the second year of a four-year, $87.6-million contract extension he signed last year.

Closing their Ojai office
Actors John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have sold their rural spread in Ojai for $2.4 million. They bought the property about four years ago for $2.15 million.
Set on what was once the site of the Ojai Foothills Hotel, the charming traditional-style home has brick steps and red front doors. The house, built in 1982, includes four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in just under 4,200 square feet of living space.
A swimming pool with a spa, a fire pit and solar panels are among the outdoor amenities on the more than 5 acres of grounds.
Blunt, 33, has film credits that include “Sicario” (2015), “Edge of Tomorrow” (2014) and “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen” (2011). Krasinski, 36, gained fame for his role as Jim Halpert on the long-running sitcom “The Office.”

Not so fast
It looked like singer-actress Jennifer Lopez had a buyer for her home in Hidden Hills, but the Multiple Listing Service now shows the place is back up for sale at $12.5 million.
A sale of the 3-plus-acre property in the Ashley Ridge area recently had been listed as pending with contingencies.
Built in 1993, the sprawling traditional-style home has 17,129 square feet of living space. Among features are a breezeway that connects to a work/entertainment wing with dance and recording studios, a 20-seat theater, a game room and a speakeasy-style bar.
Lopez, 47, has eight studio albums, including her 1999 debut album “On the 6” and her most recent “A.K.A.”
Earlier this year she paid $28 million for an eight-acre estate in Bel-Air formerly owned by actress Sela Ward and her husband, Howard Sherman.

Where Iceman chills
Actor Shawn Ashmore, who played the superhero Iceman in the “X-Men” film franchise, has bought a renovated home in Studio City for about $1.855 million.
The gray two-story, built in 1989, has a gated courtyard set between a pair of single-car garages. Inside, white walls, wide-plank wood and blue limestone floors give the nearly 2,700 square feet of living space a contemporary vibe.
A kitchen with two islands, a family room with a fireplace, a dining area, three bedrooms and three bathrooms are among the living spaces.
Outdoors, there’s a built-in barbecue, a patio and a swimming pool and spa.
Ashmore, 37, is known for his role in the “X-Men” films as well as the Fox series “The Following.”

Where ‘Proud Mary’ strutted
The View Park residence that singing duo Ike and Tina Turner once called home has sold for $870,000.
Ike Turner, who died in 2007 at 76, bought the midcentury modern house in 1964 after receiving a $40,000 record signing bonus. He and Tina sold the property after their divorce in the late 1970s.
Built in 1956, the time-capsule-like house retains the spirit of the era with such details as multicolored tile work, flashy chandeliers and patterned wallpaper. In the family room, a rock wall fireplace is accompanied by a pond and waterfall feature. The master suite has a step-up bed platform.
The Turners formed the Ike & Tina Turner Revue in 1960 and scored numerous hits including “Poor Fool,” “It’s Gonna Work Out Fine” and “Nutbush City Limits.” They won a Grammy for their arrangement of “Proud Mary.”

Made over, moved on
Designers and television personalities Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent have sold a Hollywood Hills West home that they remodeled for $2.855 million. They purchased the property in 2015 for $2.36 million.
The Spanish-style home was once owned by prolific producer Frank Konigsberg and, before him, playwright John Wexley of “The Last Mile” fame.
The roughly 3,600-square-foot house includes a living room with wood-burning fireplace, a formal dining room, an office/den, five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
A swimming pool and a garage with a separate studio also are within the quarter-acre grounds.
The 45-year-old Berkus is known for his home makeovers on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Brent, 32, is the host of the Emmy-winning series “Home Made Simple.”
They will appear together on the upcoming TLC series “Married to Design: Nate & Jeremiah.”

Ten years ago, Cher was showing her flip side. The then-60-year-old pop diva had renovated a Palm Springs house and listed the 1938 Spanish-style place for nearly $2.5 million. She had spent $650,000 on the place three years previously and tapped into its indoor-outdoor appeal. The home got a sprinkling of Cher pizzazz when the original 2,000-square-foot floor plan was doubled by adding a master-bedroom wing with his and hers wardrobe rooms, a fireplace and a wet bar.
Twenty years ago, actress Lesley-Anne Down of “Upstairs, Downstairs” fame and her husband, cinematographer Don E. Fauntleroy, sold their Malibu home for close to its $1.5-million asking price and were refurbishing a home they bought nearby.
What we’re reading
— Six years after its inception, the Home Affordable Modification Program accepted its final applications, having helped only a fraction of the homeowners that government officials initially expected, according to the Washington Post. About 1.6 million borrowers lowered their mortgage payments through the program, but about a third of those people eventually fell behind on their payments again.
— President-elect Donald Trump’s boyhood home in Jamaica Estates, N.Y., will be going up for auction on Jan. 17, reports Newsday. Scheduled for an auction in October that was postponed, the house has since sold. The new buyer appears to be flipping it.
— In Detroit, Cass Community Social Services has finished the first in a community of 25 tiny homes to help the low-income population of the city. The houses will range in size from 250 to 400 square feet. The initial 300-square-foot lease-to-own home will cost $300 in rent each month, plus heating, which should be about $32 per month in the winter.
