Jerry Cantrell of the band Alice in Chains has sold his Studio City house for $1.45 million.
Set behind walls on a quarter-acre with a guesthouse and a swimming pool, the 1936 Spanish-style house features a courtyard, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 2,151 square feet of living space.
There is a Sonos sound system and security cameras are "in all the right places," notes Zillow, which broke the news of the sale online. The Times has confirmed Cantrell's ownership.
Alice in Chains, formed in 1987, this year released the album "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here."
The singer-songwriter-guitarist bought the property in 2005 for $1.245 million, public records show.
Robby Sutton and Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker's Beverly Hills South office were the listing agents. Grace Gaerlan of the Los Feliz office represented the buyer.
