Regis and Joy Philbin snag a contemporary condo in Beverly Hills

Television personalities Regis and Joy Philbin have bought a condominium in Beverly Hills for $2.5 million.

Found within a new development by Etco Homes, the front-facing unit features direct elevator access, Fleetwood windows and pocket doors and a contemporary kitchen with an island/bar and Miele appliances.

A foyer and formal entry, living and dining rooms, three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms lie within roughly 2,700 square feet of interiors. Two-tone color schemes, hardwood and ceramic tile floors and recessed lighting lend a contemporary look to the floor plan.

A wide veranda sits off the master bedroom and common areas. Three parking spots and subterranean storage are included with the unit.

The property came to market in December for the sale price and was under contract in about a month, records show.

Ernie Carswell of Teles Properties represented the buyers, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

Regis Philbin, 84, is known for hosting the daytime talk show “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee” and later “Live! with Regis and Kelly” for more than two decades. His other credits include the game shows “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and “Million Dollar Password.”

Joy Philbin, 75, was an occasional co-host on her husband’s show “Live!” and also hosted the home-improvement shows “At Home With” and “Haven.” She appeared on the comedy “Hope & Faith” from 2003 to 2006.
