Steve Aoki, the popular electro house DJ, producer and founder of Dim Mak Records, has listed his contemporary home in Hollywood Hills West for sale at $1.199 million.

The modern residence, built in 1990, opens in grand fashion to a voluminous living room with 20-foot ceilings, skylights and a fireplace with an exposed flue. Arching white dome chairs add an eclectic touch to the dining room, which sits adjacent to an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

Among its features are a recording studio with an insulated voice room and a master suite that opens onto a stone patio and garden. In all, the 2,480 square feet of living space counts five bedrooms and four full baths.

Aoki, 36, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the dance album category for 2012’s “Wonderland.” He is set to release his second studio album, “Neon Future. I,” in September.

The musician paid $1.075 million for the home in October 2008, according to public records. He previously asked $1.498 million for the property in February. Josh Flagg of Rodeo Realty -- Beverly Hills is the listing agent.
