Reese Witherspoon lists Ojai ranch

Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon has listed Libbey Ranch in Ojai for sale at $10 million.

Designed by celebrity architect Wallace Neff, the ranch was originally built in 1923 as stables for glassware titan Edward Libbey. Details include original hardware, turrets, original stonework, plank floors and Spanish tiles. The two-story main house features beam ceilings, a massive stone fireplace in the living room, a library loft with a fireplace, four bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms. Three guest cottages, a carriage house, a swimming pool, a barn, stables and pasture complete the 7 acres of grounds.

Witherspoon, 36, appeared in “Legally Blonde” (2001), “Sweet Home Alabama” (2002) and “Walk the Line” (2003), for which she won her best actress Oscar. More recently she starred in “Water for Elephants” (2011) and “How Do You Know” (2010). Next year she will star in the crime drama “Devil’s Knot.”

The film star married talent agent Jim Toth at the estate last year.

The ranch also reportedly played a supporting, after-the-fact role in the recent “tramp-pire” uproar. “Twilight” series star Robert Pattinson, who appeared with Witherspoon in “Water for Elephants,” was said to have holed up at the estate while he considered his options after girlfriend and “Twilight” costar Kristin Stewart admitted to an affair.
