Anthony Noto in as new Twitter CFO

Former Goldman Sachs executive Anthony Noto is Twitter’s new chief financial officer, replacing Mike Gupta, who will move into a new executive position to oversee strategic investments, the company said in a Securities Exchange Commission filing Tuesday morning.

Noto started serving as a managing director in Goldman Sachs Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking group in October 2010. Noto was also the CFO of the National Football League from 2008 to 2010.

Noto and Gupta both tweeted Tuesday morning to express excitement over the change-up.

Noto will get an annual salary of $250,000, plus 1.5 million shares of Twitter common stock.

Twitter’s board of directors said the moves will happen within the next 30 days.
