Dick Van Dyke never seems to tire. The 86-year-old actor will produce a revival of the musical “Cabaret” by the Malibu Stage Co. The production is scheduled to open Nov. 2 and run for five weeks.

Van Dyke is this year’s recipient of the Screen Actors Guild’s Life Achievement Award. He is scheduled to receive the award during the group’s annual televised ceremony in January.

The Malibu Stage Co. said this is the first time that Van Dyke, who lives in Malibu, has produced for the company. The actor, who is producing the show with Richard Johnson, won’t star in the musical. “Cabaret” is directed by Jeffery Passero.

The Malibu Stage Co. is a 99-seat house located in the Point Dume area of Malibu.

Last month, Van Dyke performed in a one-night concert at Pepperdine University to benefit the Malibu company, of which he is a founding member. In 2011, Van Dyke and his brother Jerry performed at the Malibu Stage Playhouse in a limited-run engagement of Neil Simon’s “The Sunshine Boys.”
