It’s Oscars Sunday, Hollywood’s biggest night. Here’s everything you need to know for tuning into the 88th Academy Awards and red carpet taking place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The official red carpet pre-show is over. The ceremony began at 5:30 p.m. Pacific time on ABC.

WHO IS HOSTING?
Chris Rock is this year’s host. Amid a season of #OscarsSoWhite controversy, supporters argue the comedian is the perfect host for Sunday’s ceremony and are tuning in specifically to see WWCD (What Will Chris Do)? Others, however, believe he should have quit the gig and shown solidarity with African American actors. Testing out material at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles last week, he joked that he “didn’t need to lose another job to Kevin Hart.”

THE NOMINEES
The leader of the pack is “The Revenant” with 12 nominations, including best picture and acting nominations for both Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead acting category and Tom Hardy for supporting actor. “Mad Max: Fury Road,” also a best picture nominee, follows with 10 nominations.
The other films nominated for best picture are “The Big Short,” “Bridge of Spies,” “Brooklyn,” “The Martian,” “Room” and “Spotlight.”
