Owen Wilson is all about the ‘wow’ in video mashup

Share

The Internet has identified Owen Wilson’s favorite expression.

It’s “wow.”

OK, maybe it’s not his favorite, but he sure says it often enough onscreen.

Owenergy Studios compiled the actor’s enthusiastic echo in a supercut that was posted to YouTube on Saturday -- one that’ll leave the three-letter interjection reverberating in your middle ear.

The studio has also created shorts of Wilson singing and a soapy tribute thanking the star.

This marvel-filled clip montages scenes from the 46-year-old actor’s classic roles, including those in 2005’s “Wedding Crashers,” 2001’s “Zoolander,” 2000’s “Meet the Parents” and 2004’s “Starsky & Hutch.” Wilson’s contemporary work is included too, think: 2014’s “Are You Here,” 2013’s “The Internship,” 2011’s “The Big Year,” “Hall Pass” and his critically acclaimed turn in Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris.”

However, the 2:35-minute video excludes the actor’s animated films. (Maybe next time, Lightning McQueen.)

Aside from illuminating the star’s abundant use of “wow,” the video also serves as a reminder of how many bankable comedies Wilson has been featured in during his 19-year career. The answer: a lot.

We’ve reached out to Wilson’s camp for reaction to the video but haven’t heard back. But we can make an educated guess as to what he’s probably thinking...

Wow.
