Poll: Is Selena Gomez’s topless V magazine cover too risque?

Selena Gomez is scantily clad -- and youthfully styled -- on the cover of V magazine.

Selena Gomez covers the latest issue of V magazine, where she apparently forgot to put on a shirt.

Instead, the topless star sports tiny denim short-shorts, a mess of brunet curls, a polka-dot bow, massive hoop earrings and a facial expression that is drawing comparisons to Lolita. She covers her assets with strategically folded arms and the mag's name is suggestively superimposed on her body.

The 22-year-old "The Heart Wants What It Wants" singer doesn't look her age on the provocative cover, but inside the glossy -- which also features more doll-like, youthful-borderline-creepy images -- she offers several sentiments about young love and her ex Justin Bieber, though she doesn't use his name.

"I think the next time [I have a boyfriend] will be much different ... which will definitely not be anytime soon," Gomez said. "That's a growing up kind of thing. I was 18 years old, and it was my first love. The older I get, I'm guarding certain things more."

Her "Spring Breakers" costar James Franco conducts the interview, which also covers the topics of her career and depression.

The Disney Channel alum is looking forward to an "incredible" year (she's filming "In Dubious Battle" with Franco and working on new music with EDM collaborator Zedd).

"I feel the best I've ever felt in my life," she explained. "I'm super stoked that I've got some bumps on me, some scars, some bruises. I actually really love that. And I don't mean that in a morbid way."

The issue goes on sale on Feb. 26.
