‘Arrow’s’ Stephen Amell welcomes baby girl for ‘Amell Wednesdays’
“Arrow” star Stephen Amell is a dad!
The CW action star welcomed his baby girl on Oct. 15 with wife Cassandra Jean, but shared the big news Saturday with a sweet Facebook post promoting his brother’s new TV series.
“She came just in time for Amell Wednesdays,” the 32-year-old wrote, posting a photo of himself carrying his baby girl and pointing at his brother Robbie Amell on the hospital-room television set. Robbie Amell is currently starring in the CW’s freshman series “The Tomorrow People,” which airs Wednesdays after “Arrow.”
Stephen Amell and his wife named their baby girl Mavi Alexandra Jean Amell, his rep told Just Jared.
“Mavi Alexandra Jean Amell was born on Tuesday afternoon (October 15). Everyone is happy and healthy,” the rep said.
News that the couple was expecting broke in June, and the pair later confirmed to ET Canada that the former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant was pregnant.
The couple tied the knot on Christmas Day 2012 in a Caribbean destination wedding, then celebrated again in this past May with New Orleans festivities.
The new dad’s fantasy series, based on the “Green Arrow” comic books, had its series premiere in fall 2012 and was a hit for the network. It is currently in its second season.
