Paris’ post-jail plans

Deborah Netburn, Times Staff Writer, gives advice to free-woman Paris Hilton.

Save the children.

Sally Struthers did it. Paris can do it too! The actress who once starred in “All in the Family” became the chief spokesperson of The Christian Children’s Fund, pleading for cable watchers’ dollars to help disadvantaged children. (
Think of the animals.

There will always be tons of dogs that need saving. And as Linda Blair discovered, dogs provide a friendship you can count on when all else fails. That’s why she started Linda Blair World Heart Foundation for dogs. (
Mother the world.

Maybe it’s time to start a family. A family of adoptees, that is. Angelina Jolie did it and looked how much it boosted her tabloid presence! (
Go green.

Go Green. The environment is very hot right now, both in temperature and in trendiness. Save the world.

Protest something.

Jane Fonda may regret that photo she took with the Vietcong, but she stands behind her anti-Vietnam War stance during the early 70s. Become an activist poster girl! (Mario Tama / Getty Images)

You’ve put your name on everything from perfume to a diary for girls, maybe you should play like the bigwigs and put your name on a hospital building. Or just donate to a hospital. Martha Stewart and Dolly Parton have both gone that route. (Jo Hale / Getty Images)
