MUSIC

Adele “I’ll Be Waiting” is a neo-soul sashay, and it inspires the singer to push her vocal expressions into sweet howls reminiscent of those by Dusty Springfield, another Brit deeply influenced by American country and soul. Overall, her album “21” shows that Adele, now 23, is towering in the same landscape where some of her contemporaries, beehived or not, have lost all their bearings. Greek Theatre, 2700 N. Vermont Ave., L.A. 7:30 p.m. $32.50-$65. Greektheatrela.com. Also at the Hollywood Palladium, 6215 Sunset Blvd., L.A. 7:30 p.m. Wed. $34. livenation.com.

For the Record: The version of this story that appeared in print on Monday listed the Jane Fonda event at Vroman’s as happening on Wednesday. It is in fact happening on Tuesday.

Little Dragon Hot on the heels of the release of its third album, “Ritual Union,” the Swedish electro synth-pop four-piece hits the Southland with a brand new set of songs. The band got its name from Swedish-Japanese singer Yukimi Nago’s fuming studio tantrums, but Little Dragon’s atmospheric down tempo music soothes rather than savages. The Roxy, 9009 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. 8 p.m. $20. (310) 278-9457. theroxyonsunset.com.
