COMEDY

After 13 years of publishing, the bank of memorable headlines from the Onion is vast and timeless, still sent to friends on gloomy days to elicit a chuckle. One of our favorites — timely for Valentine’s Day? — “Romantic Comedy Behavior Gets Real-Life Man Arrested.” Editor Joe Randazzo and other staffers of the “fake” newspaper will take to Royce Hall for a discussion on the state of pop culture, media and politics, and their latest Peabody Award-winning creation, the Onion News Network, an online satire of 24-hour cable TV news. They will also reveal how they come up with their culture-skewering stories and zingy headlines. Royce Hall, UCLA, 340 Royce Drive, Los Angeles. $28 to $48. 8 p.m. Thur. uclalive.org.
