Everything Is Festival If film festivals can be roughly divided into two camps — the A-list, red-carpet types and the scrappy indie variety — the Everything Is Festival certainly belongs to the latter. MUSIC

Hall and Oates Though most pop stars eventually fade into obscurity, the soft-rock duo Hall and Oates have experienced something of a revival in recent years, being appreciated as both campy throwback icons and genuine pop craftsmen. Highland Ave., L.A. 7:30 p.m. Sat.-Mon. $12-$158. (323) 850-2000. https://www.hollywoodbowl.com.

Hootenanny 2011 Punk rock and rockabilly collide with a splash of Brylcreem, motor oil and black leather during Hootenanny 2011, an all-star celebration of revved up rock ‘n’ roll madness. Dropkick Murphys headlines with its pugnacious Celtic punk aesthetic, preceded by rockabilly revivalist Reverend Horton Heat and L.A.’s own Luis & the Wildfires, plus the mellow sounds of John Doe and fancy swing from Royal Crown Revue. Oak Canyon Ranch, 5305 E. Santiago Canyon Road, Irvine. 12 p.m. $39-$100. thehootenanny.com.

Blonde Redhead The seminal adventurous indie rock band is on summer tour and headed to Los Angeles, partly in support of its latest release, “Penny Sparkle.” It’s the band’s third album for label 4AD and its eighth (and most experimental) studio album, rooted in ambient synth textures and more wistful melodies. El Rey Theatre, 5515 Wilshire Blvd., L.A.. 9 p.m. $25. https://www.theelrey.com.
