MUSIC

Hall and Oates Though most pop stars eventually fade into obscurity, the soft-rock duo have experienced something of a revival in recent years, being appreciated as both campy throwback icons and genuine pop craftsmen. This Fourth of July concert with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and conductor Thomas Wilkins will conclude with a fireworks show. Hollywood Bowl, 2301 N. Highland Ave., L.A. 7:30 p.m. $12-$158. (323) 850-2000. https://www.hollywoodbowl.com.

Crystal Antlers The band’s new record, “Two-Way Mirror,” which drops this month, is representative of the group’s unclassifiable place in L.A. rock. Even though its members got their start in punk — and Crystal Antlers’ first patron was a punk-rocking ex-con who paid for the band’s first single using money he won from a horse race — frontman Johnny Bell is still uncomfortable calling the band “punk.” The Echo, 1822 Sunset Blvd., L.A. 9 p.m. Free. attheecho.com.
