Jason Aldean and his wife reportedly split; ‘having problems’

Have Jason Aldean and his wife, Jessica Ussery, split up? According to one source, they have. According to his rep, they’re just having a “rough time.”

Signs of said rough time came in early October, when the country singer took to Facebook to apologize for smooching Brittany Kerr, a onetime “American Idol” contestant-turned-NBA cheerleader, at a bar on the Sunset Strip. (Seems that’s what you’ve got to do when incriminating pictures are taken and posted online.)

“The truth is that I screwed up,” Aldean wrote at the time. “I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story.”

Fast forward to Thursday, when an Us Weekly source spilled some dish.

“There were obvious problems before the bar kiss, but he finally left earlier this year,” the source told the mag, noting that the singer, 36, went alone to the ACM Awards earlier this month and saying the split happened in January.

Aldean’s rep was a bit more evasive, telling several outlets, “I can confirm that Jason and his wife are having problems, but there is nothing more to share with the press at this time. It’s a private family matter, and we hope everyone will respect that he would like to keep it that way.”

The singer himself is keeping it quiet so far this time around -- there was no mea culpa or other type of message on his Facebook page this time, as of Friday morning. Fans, however, were commenting on the situation, including one woman who posted, “Let’s pray that they can work it out, besides none of us know the whole story & it’s none of our business” and others urging against making judgments. Some weren’t as supportive.

Aldean and Ussery, who’ve been married 11 years, have been together since high school. They have two daughters.
