Share

The Costume Designers Guild announced today that actress Cate Blanchett will be honored with an award at the group’s annual awards gala.

Blanchett is set to receive the Lacoste Spotlight Award -- the French luxury brand is the event’s longtime presenting sponsor -- a crocodile-shaped piece of crystal that honors “an actor whose talent and career personify an enduring commitment to excellence, including a special awareness of the role and importance of costume design.” Previous recipients of the award include Naomi Watts (who was honored at the 2015 gala), Amy Adams (in 2014), Anne Hathaway (2013) and Kate Beckinsale (2012).
