Kesha quits job, parties with plushies in ‘C’mon’ video

A warning to managers of grimy small-town diners: Disrespect Kesha at your own risk.

That’s more or less the message served up by the new music video for “C’mon,” in which the free-spirited L.A. native quits her grim-looking waitressing job in order to join a band of furry-costumed pranksters on the prowl for a good time.

You can probably imagine what they do with the pinata modeled after Kesha’s old boss.

The second single from her hit 2012 disc “Warrior,” “C’mon” extends the pulsating electro-disco vibe of “Die Young,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100. Though other tracks on the album find Kesha dabbling in more rock-associated sounds (with help from members of the Strokes and the Black Keys), the singer insisted in a recent interview with The Times that she hasn’t abandoned her core style.

“A lot of people think ‘pop’ is a dirty word,” Kesha said, “but I love living on pop radio -- that’s where my heart is.”
