The death Saturday of Chicago juke and footwork producer DJ Rashad has left a hole in the fabric of one of America’s most intense and idiosyncratic electronic music scenes.

Just days after the 34-year-old musician was found dead, several artists associated with his label Hyperdub and the Chicago footwork sound have pulled together a tribute show on the popular live-DJ streaming series Boiler Room.

Kode9, Hyperdub’s founder, the London experimental-dubstep artist Ikonika and footwork-indebted producers Addison Groove and Oneman will spin live sets from the London venue showcasing Rashad’s music and influences.

A livestream of the show was set to start at 10 a.m. Pacific time Tuesday.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office says cause of death has not yet been determined, although according to news reports, police said drugs and drug paraphernalia were found near DJ Rashad’s body.
