Mariah Carey is getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The pop diva will receive the 2,556th star in a ceremony Aug. 5, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced Monday.
Carey is one of the most successful recording stars of all time.
She’s amassed 18 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, placing her only behind the Beatles for the record.

And having sold more than 63 million albums, she’s the third-bestselling female artist in the U.S., according to the Recording Industry Assn. of America.
Carey’s honor comes as the singer is in the midst of her latest career move: Las Vegas headliner.
In May she debuted her residency act at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. “Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity” sees the singer performing her No. 1 hits in the order of their release.
The singer has also reunited with Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who oversaw her blockbuster 2005 comeback, “The Emancipation of Mimi.” Her first issue on her new home, Epic Records, was a hits compilation named after the Vegas show.
“This is just the beginning,” she told The Times during an extensive interview following her Vegas debut.
Reid; Lee Daniels, who directed Carey in her breakout role in “Precious”; and longtime collaborator Brett Ratner will fete Carey during the ceremony.
