C2E2 2011’s costumed stars

Thor was there. (Actually, that was actor Chris Hemsworth, who will play the god of thunder in the summer blockbuster.) So were TV actors, comic book insiders, gamers and all things geek. When it was all over Sunday, organizers estimated 34,000 people attended the second annual Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo at McCormick Place, up from 27,500 last year. But forget the hired talent--many costumed attendees were themselves the stars of the three-day C2E2. This year’s costumed fun gave us Joker chatting with Batman, a kid wearing Thor pajamas and more “Star Wars” characters than you could shake a light saber at. Here are some of our favorite costumes.
